WHAT’S GOING ON HERE?: Netflix sequence with Arnold Schwarzenegger could also be filming in Guelph this week
Crews were setting up power lines and equipment and even planting flowers at the former Ontario Reformatory in Guelph this week, in preparation for filming.
JUST THE FACTS:
The doors stand open to the building after having been blocked off for some time.
The sign at the walking entrance to the grounds at York Road has “UTAP” written on top of it and it says “please use” the alternate entrance on Dunlop Drive.
The City of Guelph has no information about the event at this time, but on-site workers confirmed an unnamed television show would be filmed at the building over the next few days, and access to the public would likely be denied.
“UTAP,” a new Netflix series that stars Arnold Schwarzenegger is reportedly filming scenes in the area and the crew has also been at an old school in Hamilton, according to on-site workers.
The Film and Television Industry Alliance (FTIA) lists “Utap” as a global spy adventure series currently in development with cast members Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro.
