Tradition Days brings three weeks of free arts occasions to Guelph
Once again, Guelph will be among the many communities across the country taking part in the national Culture Days celebration of this fall.
This year’s festival, described on the Culture Days website as “three glorious weeks of colour, creativity, and community,” takes place from Sept. 23 to Oct. 16. Meant to highlight the importance of arts and culture in the community, the festival includes a variety of free participatory events.
The following is a list of some of the events and activities happening in and around Guelph as part of the festival, but as new events are still being registered, people are encouraged to check out culturedays.ca for the complete list.
Hope and Healing
Métis artist Tracey-Mae Chambers brings her site-specific art installation #HopeAndHealingCanada to Riverside Park. Chambers threads connections between people, communities, and the environment, with themes of hope and healing driving her work.

Fourth Friday with Silas Chinsen
