Take a take a look at trip on the varsity bus in Guelph this summer season

Students starting school in Guelph in the fall have the chance to see what it’s like to ride the big yellow school bus ahead of time with the First Rider Program offered through Wellington-Dufferin Student Transportation Services. Here’s what you need to know about the program:

WHAT IS FIRST RIDER?

This annual program gives first-time school bus riders and their families an introduction to riding and safety procedures. It includes a video presentation, question-and-answer session, and a bus ride.

WHEN AND WHERE?

The sessions are approximately 45 minutes long and are scheduled at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. on Aug. 30 at various Guelph, Wellington and Dufferin schools. Guelph locations include Holy Trinity, St. Ignatius, St. Francis, and St. Michael schools.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?

The program is open to students who will ride the bus to school, as well as students who walk. Those who wish to participate are asked to register online by Aug. 23 at stwdsts.ca/first-rider-program/.
