Suspicious individual name results in restoration of stolen car in Guelph
A suspicious person call led to the recovery of a vehicle stolen in January, Guelph Police said in a Tuesday news release.
According to police, just after 6 pm on Monday, May 30, officers responded to a suspicious person call in the area of Woodlawn Road West and Silvercreek Parkway North.
The officers allegedly found a man in the driver‘s seat of a black Nissan Versa. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the car was reported stolen from Wellington County earlier this year, police said.
The 28-year-old Guelph male was charged with possessing stolen property under $5,000 and a breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing scheduled for Tuesday.
