The Guelph Tool Library’s Circular Store will host a grand-opening event Saturday, Feb. 11 in Old Quebec Street.

The store is a pilot project offering second-hand goods at sliding-scale pricing, aiming to prevent items that are not easily recycled from ending up in landfill. Besides reselling items, the store will also act as a liaison between donors and various community organizations in need of specific items, including art supplies, sporting goods and clothing.

The grand opening, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will include a ribbon cutting at noon, a free beeswax wrap workshop, at 1 p.m. and a repair café throughout the event.

It will also be an opportunity for those interested in participating in the Urban Sugaring Project to pick up kits.

Donations for the Circular Store are currently being accepted during the tool library’s regular hours, and a list of accepted goods can be found on the website, guelphtoollibrary.org.
