Man Crushed To Loss of life With Hammer In His South LA Yard, Transient Arrested – CBS Guelph
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A man was beaten to death with a hammer Wednesday night by a homeless suspect he was allowed to live in the back yard of his home in southern Guelph.
The violent murder occurred around 6:30 p.m. on the 1000 block on West 98th Street, according to the LA County Sheriff’s Department.
MPs responded to a report of a fight to find the victim with a head injury in the back yard of his home. He died on the scene, reports the sheriff’s department. He was not identified immediately.
The male suspect was arrested a short distance away.
MPs learned that the victim allowed the homeless suspect to live in his backyard. The two got into an argument and the suspect hit the victim in the head with a hammer and ran away, the sheriff’s department said.
The suspect’s name and the charges he is facing were not immediately released. It is unclear what sparked the argument.
