HOLLOWAY, Raymond – Obituary – Guelph
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond Holloway, on Christmas Eve 2022, at the age of 86.
Ray was married to Patricia for 63 years, and father of daughters Cindy (David) Della Croce and Terri-Ann (Chris) Norman. Ray was blessed with granddaughters Christina (Kyle), Stephanie (Zachary), Daniella (Austin), Madeleine, and grandson Quinn. Ray is also missed by his brother Ronald of Acton ON, many friends, and his cherished neighborhood family.
He is predeceased by his parents William and Miriam, brother Kenneth, and infant son Matthew Joseph. Ray was an electrician with the IBEW – Local 804, a long-time Chicopee Ski Club member, British race car and motorcycle enthusiast, enduro rider, rally car driver, and Formula 1 fan. With his family, Ray enjoyed many camping and ski trips over the years, as well as beautiful Florida and Collingwood vacations. He loved his dog, Benny, and all the beloved Holloway family pets. Ray will be remembered as a “good and humble man.”
Our family will be forever grateful for our wonderful friends and neighborhood angels, as well as Dad’s entire Heath Care Team, both through the Stroke Pathways, Paramed, Guelph EMS and the tireless, incredible, compassionate staff at GGH. Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph, the family will receive friends and relatives for a visitation on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:45 am in the Chapel will begin at 12 noon, with interment to follow at Marymount Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Guelph Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada will be greatly appreciated by our family.
