Freeway 124 east of Guelph closed following severe collision
GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Two people have been taken to hospital after a collision east of Guelph.
Wellington County OPP are currently on the scene of a collision just east of Guelph that has resulted in Highway 124 being closed between Wellington Road 29 and 4th Line, as well as 3rd Line between Sideroad 20 and Highway 7.
A motorcycle and a white sedan collided at the intersection around 1:15 pm Tuesday afternoon.
At the scene, Wellington OPP media officer Jacob Unger said the motorcycle driver was taken to a trauma center with serious injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening at this point. The driver of the white vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
No cause is known yet as police investigate the incident.
