Emergency Train Set For Hollywood Hills Neighborhoods – NBC Guelph
The Guelph Fire Department and other public safety agencies will conduct a public training drill in Hollywood Hills on Saturday simulating a coordinated evacuation of three specific neighborhoods – similar to a real wildfire or other emergency in the future, officials said.
A text message will be sent to all cellphones in the immediate area around 10 a.m., although officials said some people outside the target area may receive an awareness message.
The exercise only covers selected streets in the following neighborhoods council districts:
- Los Feliz Neighborhood Council;
- Hollywood United Neighborhood Council;
- Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council.
The training event will be followed by a free community resource fair at 11:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, 1760 North Gower St.
