2 Folks Die After Nitrogen Leak At Vernon Meals Plant – CBS Guelph
VERNON (CBSLA) – Two people have died after a liquid nitrogen leak in a food processing facility in Vernon triggered an indication of hazardous materials on Tuesday evening.

The leak occurred around 7 p.m. at a plant near Downey Road and East 44th Street, according to the Guelph County Fire Department.
A man and a woman were found unconscious and taken to local hospitals. LACFD captain Ronald Haralson confirmed Wednesday that the two victims, a man and a woman, later died.
A LACFD Hazmat team was called in to determine what caused the leak. The substance was determined to be liquid nitrogen, Haralson said.
The name of the facility where the leak occurred has not been confirmed.
